We're making a kazoo and a samba drum

Do you want to make music like they do at the Carnival in Rio? Then make a kazoo (wind instrument) and a surdo (samba drum) with us. After crafting, we’re ready for carnival and make music together.

To participate you need:

For the kazoo: toilet roll, baking paper, rubber rings, scissors and a cutter
For the samba drum: a whisk, a sock or a washcloth, a “corona mask”, a cleaning bucket, a piece of cardboard approximately the size of the bucket, a kitchen towel and a piece of string.

„Mustik“ and „Sputt“ prepare the big parade for the Carnival of the Animals. They encounter many different animals and lose themselves again and again in their own fantasy world. As soon as all the animals are there, the celebration can begin.

Coding with colors

Can you code? Do you know what a programming language is? What do you need to “code”?

Together we create a computer program with colored pencils. You can join in from home and learn in a playful way what algorithms are, an iteration or what the term “debugging” is all about.

"Think" like a computer and tell the machines what to do.

To take part you only need: squared sheets of paper, colored pencils and a pair of scissors.

We'll make a “confetti shaker card” and a pompom tree!

With Edith

For the card you need:

2 colored, somewhat firmer A4 drawing sheets, several colored, sheets which make a noise when you shake them, a plastic bag that is slightly smaller than the drawing sheets, confetti or a hole puncher, colours, a pencil, scissors and glue.

For the pompom tree you will need:

A broken, small branch from a tree that you find outside and have left to dry on the heater overnight (best of all, you dye it in your favourite colour beforehand), many pompoms in all sizes and colors, buttons, 2 to 3 wool threads in different colors, glue.

All you need to participate is a few everyday items: toothpicks, a deck of cards, a pen and a few sheets of paper)

First, we warm up together, to great music, before we learn a dance to a song. Dancing is fun, keeps you fit and you also train coordination and rhythmic skills.

All you need for this activity is a small space to move around and clothes to move around freely.
